Zen in Prisons (ZIP)
New Soto Zen Buddhist Association (SZBA) Affinity Group: Zen in Prisons (ZIP) This affinity group is for Soto Zen practitioners who meditate and study Zen with incarcerated people, either in correctional facilities or through correspondence. It is open to both members and non-members of SZBA. The fluid vision for the meeting is to share from the heart about lived experiences, to exchange resources, and to discern what’s needed to strengthen the work.

If you are unable to attend but would like to be kept informed, you may also complete the form to be added to the group’s contact list and Google group.This google group will allow members to share inspiration and opportunities for service and education, policy proposals, state specific information, and nationwide advocacy.
ZIP is facilitated by Tony Koji Wallin-Sato, Yakusan Shapiro and Jindo Butler. This affinity group meets once every other month. May we fulfill our vows to free and save all sentient beings.

FAMMily Storytelling Workshop
FAMM believes that personal stories are a valuable tool we can all use in our fight for reform. In this workshop, you’ll learn how to create and deliver a powerful advocacy story, plus you’ll connect with FAMM staff and others. It’s a great opportunity to share your concerns and your story.
